Claude Bourque, 68, of Memramcook East died Monday, May 19, at The Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Aurèle and Anna (LeBlanc) Bourque.

Claude Bourque He was a printer with L'Évangéline until retirement. He was a member of the Sacred Heart League, past-president of Foyer St. Thomas, Memramcook Caisse Populaire and Memramcook East parish council. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in Canada.

He is survived by his wife, the former Stella Landry; three daughters, Mrs. Colombe Gautreau and Claudine Bourque, both of Moncton, and Mrs. Harry Turner (Claudette) of St. Anselme; three sons, Jean-Claude of Bathurst, Guy of La Pocatière, Que., and Donald of Pré-d'en-Haut; three sisters, Mrs. Owen LeBlanc (Marguerite) and Miss Violette Bourque, both of Lynn, Mass., and Mrs. Hervé Melanson (Maria) of Moncton; two brothers, Gérard and Roger, both of Moncton; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East, at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
